Hi everyone! I'm Susana, a proud mom to my beautiful daughter, Sofia, who is almost two years old. I’m beyond thrilled to be recognized as Mother of the Month by this amazing community! A little about me—I’m 28 years old and was born in Baja California, Mexico. Growing up, I spent my life on both sides of the border, going back and forth between the two Californias. Fast forward to 2018: I was studying to become a veterinary technician and working at an animal clinic when I met my husband, Jerry. From the moment we met, my life changed forever—I just knew he was the love of my life.

After spending a few carefree, blissful years together with our four dogs, Rafa, Neto, Chachi, and Moana, our family grew even bigger in 2023 when we welcomed Sofia into the mix. To care for our growing family, I decided to pause my career and become a stay-at-home mom—a choice that ultimately led me to join FIT4MOM. I had been looking for ways to stay active and get more exercise, so I searched for “working out with toddlers Balboa Park,” and that’s how I discovered FIT4MOM. I signed up for a class the very next day!

Motherhood has completely transformed my life in the most beautiful way, and I feel so blessed to share this journey with my amazing family and this supportive community. I love being part of FIT4MOM because motherhood can sometimes feel isolating, but this group of incredible moms provides unmatched support. It’s such a welcoming space where everyone truly understands what you’re going through.

One of the best parts is that I get to work out while my baby enjoys being outside. She and I both get a chance to socialize—it’s a win-win! Some days I show up for her; other days I show up for me. When I’m not at FIT4MOM, you can usually find me exploring the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, SeaWorld, or Balboa Park; walking my pups; or simply recharging at home.
