Hello! I’m Breena Taylor, and I’m so excited to be December’s Mom of the Month.

I grew up a military brat and spent most of my life in sunny San Diego. College took me to northern Arizona and then Salt Lake City for grad school, where I fell in love with the mountains and all things outdoors—camping, hiking, skiing, and fishing. I wasn’t sure I’d ever move back home… until I met my husband and his job in the Navy brought us home. We met on Hinge while finishing school in Salt Lake and after dating for a year I followed him across the country for his first set of orders to the wonderful, unforgettable city of Augusta, GA.

In Augusta, I taught 3rd grade at a small Catholic school and came to appreciate the tight-knit community and southern charm. During our time there, we got engaged, married, adopted our sweet pup Maggie, and rang in the 2025 new year with our baby girl, Grace. Just three weeks after she was born, we received orders back to San Diego.

Returning home, I suddenly realized none of my friends here had kids yet, so I started searching for community—and found FIT4MOM. With so much of my identity tied to teaching, becoming a stay-at-home mom felt like a big shift, but FIT4MOM gave me structure, support, and a wonderful group of moms who always have wisdom, encouragement, and plenty of hand-me-downs to share. We’re so grateful for this community!
